Bayprofs operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to safe, quality firearms instruction across the San Francisco Bay Area. Over 35 years, they've trained more than 2,000 students with zero profit motive—instructors are unpaid NRA-certified volunteers.
Most classes max out at small groups with four or more instructors present. That means better than 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio. Your instructors bring an aggregate of 100+ years of firearms experience.
Classes offered: - NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (monthly) - NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting - San Mateo / Contra Costa / San Jose CCW Concealed Carry - NRA Range Safety Officer - California Traditional Hunters Education - NRA Instructor-level certification - Utah Concealed Firearms Permit
The instructors—Charles Thurman, Ron LaPedis, Jeff Hagen, Larry Church, Steve Gonzales, Frank Ettin, Tom Laye—all teach because they're committed to the community, not a paycheck.
