Taft Sportsmen's Club is a non-profit organization committed to promoting hunting, fishing, and sport shooting in the West Side of Kern County. With a long-standing commitment to firearms safety and hunter education, the club provides a private shooting range exclusively for members.
The club operates a private member-only shooting range available for use at any time outside of scheduled events. Annual membership is $100 per year (January-December) and includes the member, spouse, and all children under 18. Members can receive a $60 discount by attending two work parties and two club meetings annually.
Members enjoy access to: - Private range shooting during non-event times - Annual sporting clay shoots (9th Annual event held in March) - Youth pheasant hunts - The J.C. Chitwood & Rod Napoleon Memorial Youth Pheasant Hunt held each November - Junior division programs - Dedicated youth shooting instruction - Hunter safety courses - Certified firearms and hunter education training - Annual membership banquet - Community event with dinner, raffles, and awards
