Valley Defensive Solutions specializes in concealed carry permit courses and defensive pistol instruction for shooters in Sacramento, San Joaquin, Placer, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara counties. Their mission: help gun owners use firearms proficiently, responsibly, and confidently.

Initial Concealed Carry ($270 LGR / $300 Bay Area) Covers California and Federal CCW law, firearm safety fundamentals, ammunition types, situational awareness, use-of-force law, and basic defensive pistol manipulation.

Renewal Concealed Carry ($150) Refresher course for existing permit holders covering the same core material as initial courses.

NRA Basic Pistol Course ($175) NRA-standards instruction for all experience levels. Covers pistol parts, operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, bench rest and two-handed standing positions, and cleaning.

Tactical Handgun Advanced course for permit holders and security professionals. Develops defensive mindset and confident carry skills. Not for beginners—requires current CCW permit or BSIS certification.

BSIS Renewals ($100) 8-hour refresher for licensed security guards employed by private patrol operators or private security firms.

USCCA Home Protect (Coming Soon) Personal and home protection planning, threat avoidance, and response scenarios.

Moray Cross - 25 years California Department of Corrections experience as firearms rangemaster. California DOJ CCW Instructor #552, BSIS Instructor, NRA Pistol Instructor. Teaching concealed carry since April 2021.

Marvin Domingo - Retired 25-year Correctional Officer from San Quentin, Deuel Vocational Institution, and California Health Care Facility. Currently provides private security for Bay Area news crews and private clients. Certified by California DOJ, NRA, and USCCA.

Terra Romero - Grew up hunting with her father, now teaches her own children. NRA Range Safety Officer, NRA Pistol Instructor, NRA CCW Instructor, Personal Protection Inside/Outside the Home Instructor, DOJ Instructor. Also works with Damsel in Defense for non-lethal self-defense options.
