Woods Security Training

Woods Security Training is run by Johnnie B Woods, a retired California law enforcement officer who spent three decades with the Indio Police Department, Riverside County Sheriff's Department, and Riverside County Coroner's Office. He's FBI-certified in defensive tactics and has trained over 50,000 security officers licensed by the State of California.

The training facility is state-certified by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and holds active memberships with the NRA, USCCA, and LEAPS (Law Enforcement and Private Security).

Security Guard Licensing - California Guard Card (40-hour program required by BSIS) - Powers to Arrest training - Weapons of Mass Destruction training - Tuesday & Wednesday classes at 9am (walk-ins welcome) - Thursday-Saturday 9am appointments available - Cost: $100

Exposed Firearms Training - 14-hour course (2-day format) - Classroom lecture + range qualification - Covers 9mm, .40, .45, .38, and .357 calibers - Thursday 8am classroom, Saturday 1pm range - Required for armed security guard licensing - Cost: $300

Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Permit - California and Arizona CCW courses - 2-day format (Friday classroom 8am-5pm, Saturday range) - Gun safety training + range qualification included - Friday-Saturday appointments available - Renewals: Friday 8am for $200 - Cost: $350

Self-Defense & Impact Weapons - TASER™ training ($100, one-day course) - Expandable baton training ($250, one-day course) - PR24 baton handling instruction - Chemical agent/pepper spray certification ($50) - Classes by appointment

USCCA Firearms Instructor Certification - Certified USCCA Counselor who teaches and certifies USCCA trainers - Specialized instructor-level training available

Johnnie B Woods holds certifications from the FBI, U.S. Secret Service, and Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. He's a fifth-degree black belt in Japanese martial arts (master level), NRA-certified firearms instructor, and USCCA-certified concealed carry counselor.
