Full description and what we offer
Banded Peak Ranch Outfitters operates private hunting land near Chromo in Colorado's San Juan Basin, home to part of a 20,000-animal elk herd. The ranches sit on diverse terrain—from high-country alpine to accessible lower elevations—so you hunt the way you want to hunt.
These aren't random herds. The resident elk follow a predictable pattern that puts them where you need them during season:
Archery season catches rutting bulls in prime condition. When rifle season opens with first snow on the peaks, you witness the migration—hundreds of animals moving through your hunting ground toward southern wintering grounds.
Archery Elk - 1st Season (Sept 9-13): $10,000-$11,200 - 2nd Season (Sept 16-20): $10,000-$11,200 - 3rd Season (Sept 23-27, peak rut): $10,500
Rifle Elk - 1st Season (Oct 14-18): $11,500-$12,700 - 2nd Season (Oct 24-28): $10,500-$11,700
Combo Hunts (Elk + Mule Deer) - Archery: $16,500 | Rifle: $19,000
