Full description and what we offer
The 4th Box Firearms Academy operates west of historic Pueblo, Colorado, where instructors with military and law enforcement backgrounds teach firearms handling from fundamentals to advanced tactics. Their curriculum reflects decades of field experience—not theory.
- •Concealed Carry Certification — 8-hour class (one long day or two 4-hour sessions) compliant with HB 24-1174, effective July 1, 2025 for Pueblo County. CHP Requalification runs 3 hours.
- •Close Quarters Defense (CQD) — Level 2 covers handgun and hand-to-hand fighting. Level 3 adds pistol caliber carbine, shotgun for home defense, and intermediate hand-to-hand.
- •Precision Rifle Shooting — Designed for hunters and competition shooters, suitable for beginner and intermediate shooters familiar with firearm safety and basic marksmanship.
- •Long Range Precision Shooting (PRS) — Coming soon.
Small class sizes and personalized instruction set them apart. The Academy emphasizes mental preparedness alongside physical training—they teach tactical decision-making, situational awareness, and the legal ramifications of firearm use. Safety standards are rigorous across all programs.
"Individual Liberty is the foundation of our society and the responsibility of every member of that society."
Their instructors provide mentorship grounded in actual field experience, whether that's law enforcement or military service. They teach not just how to shoot accurately, but how to think clearly under pressure.
Modern training tools and realistic scenarios support hands-on learning. The facility is designed to replicate real conditions without compromising safety.
Anyone from complete beginners to experienced shooters—the curriculum adjusts for your skill level. Whether your goal is personal safety, career advancement in law enforcement, or community contribution, they structure courses around practical needs.
