Full description and what we offer

Grashorns Gunworks makes custom firearm grips from American elk antlers, bone, and horn. Patrick's approach is simple: build the finest grips available, regardless of price. These aren't mass-produced imports—they're handcrafted by someone who actually shoots.

Each grip ships with installation screws and comes polished with protective wax. The elk stag with bark texture gives you better grip confidence than factory grips—thicker material, more aggressive texture, and a natural finish that's both functional and visually distinctive.

"The Elk Stag with bark grips dropped right in on my SW model 27. The craftsmanship and quality exceed my expectations. The bark increases grip confidence and the grips are thicker than SW stock grips, which I like. It is as if they were custom built for my hand." — Gary H., Customer

Patrick also creates one-of-a-kind items from elk antlers and bone: - Rifle grip caps and buttplates - Belt buckles - Knife handles (stag) - Dog chews - Buttons - Custom scrimshaw work - Special commissions

Elk Crafts items are posted as they become available. Check the website regularly for new designs.

The grips come polished with protective wax. For maintenance: - Light cleaning: no need to remove grips - Full tear-down: remove grips to prevent solvent saturation - Polish as desired: furniture polish or automotive wax restores shine - That's it—they'll last decades with minimal care

Grashorns Gunworks recently finished their shop and is ramping production back up. Currently focusing on Smith & Wesson and 1911 Government grips.
