Rick Sindeband trains individuals, families, and business owners in safe handling and effective use of firearms for self-defense. His approach is straightforward: no single class fully prepares you for armed self-defense reality, so training works like building blocks. Each layer matters, but the foundation is critical.
Students come in with wildly different backgrounds—many with zero firearms experience. Through lecture, audiovisual materials, and hands-on practice, they leave confident in their skills and better positioned to make responsible decisions about concealed carry and personal protection.
Rick's not just certified in everything—he's done the work:
- •NRA credentials: Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun Instructor; Personal Protection (home & outside); Chief Range Safety Officer; Reloading (metallic & shotgun shell); Home Firearm Safety
- •USCCA: Certified Firearms Instructor and Range Safety Officer; Emergency First Aid Fundamentals

Four years U.S. Air Force. Nearly two decades in insurance as a trainer and Certified Insurance Counselor. Shooting sports enthusiast since childhood—started with his dad on shotguns and rifles, then shifted to pistols and self-defense. He was instrumental in implementing the Free Gun Safety Program now used by Pueblo Municipal Shooters.
Can Certify RSOs: As an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, Rick certifies Range Safety Officers for duty on ranges anywhere in the country.
