Full description and what we offer
Heritage Sporting Club operates a 2,300-acre private property centered on Milton Reservoir, 35 miles north of Denver and 15 miles south of Greeley. This is Colorado's largest private water body, spanning 1,500 acres with 7 miles of shoreline and nearly 4 square miles of open water. Members get exclusive access with no competing public or private recreation allowed.
The club runs two distinct membership seasons:
Summer (April – Labor Day): Watersports & Camping - Private boating on 1,500 acres of water - Camping facilities on exclusive grounds - No day-use access; member-only sanctuary - Close enough to Denver metro for weekend trips
Fall/Winter (September – March): Hunting Memberships - Waterfowl hunting along 7 miles of shoreline with flooded timber - Upland pheasant hunting across 800 acres of pristine cover - Blind reservations for organized waterfowl seasons - Members can hunt at their own pace with support for different dog skill levels
Fully guided bowfishing runs April through August with 4-hour sessions available daily, including weekends. Equipment and specialized boats are provided. Trip timing varies by season:
"Best sporting club out there! We will be members for a long time. The property is beautiful with options for upland and waterfowl hunts." — Tj Manspeaker
Heritage hosts special events including waterfowl and upland hunts, weddings, reunions, banquets, video/photo sessions, and watercraft demonstrations.
