I68 Consulting Group provides defensive firearms training built on decades of Special Forces experience, not hype. Owner Marc Fitzwater is a retiring 23-year Army veteran with 16 years in Special Forces (7th and 10th Groups), 10 combat deployments, and extensive experience training foreign SOF units. Instructor Sam Winslow logged 26 years on active duty, 16 with the 10th SFG, including sniper school and close quarters battle (CQB) training.

• •The difference: I68 instructors have actually applied defensive principles under real stress—and taught them to military and law enforcement units worldwide. Many current instructors remain operational, so full bios aren't public, but their credentials are available on request.

The foundation course. Two-part structure: - Academic Day: 4-hour classroom (Tuesday evenings in Colorado Springs, Wednesday evenings in Denver). Lecture plus hands-on fundamentals prep. - Range Day: 4-hour practical session (following Saturday or Sunday). Focus on safe draw, accuracy on target, and safe re-holstering. Includes 150 rounds provided by I68.

Produces Colorado CCW training certificate. I68 Instructors are "Verified Instructors" meeting all HB24-1174 requirements.

Open to I68 PFC graduates only. Builds on foundational shooting with higher-level defensive scenarios and decision-making under stress.

For I68 PFC graduates. Real-world application of defensive principles beyond range fundamentals.

No prerequisites. Defensive rifle training emphasizing practical technique and sound decision-making.

No prerequisites. Covers awareness, decision-making, and preparation beyond the trigger.

• •Small Class Sizes: Maximum 1:4 instructor-to-student ratio ensures personal attention whether you're brand new or experienced.

• •Ammo Provided: I68 supplies ammunition for all courses (training only, not for retail). You bring nothing except your holster and commitment.

• •Rental Pistols Available: 9mm rental pistol with two magazines and OWB holster for $30 per course.

• •Flexible Payment: Installment plans available on Pistol Training Packages, Tactical Rifle, and Practical 2-Gun courses (50% upfront, remainder in monthly installments). I68 Family members can arrange payment plans for individual advanced courses.

Ten percent discount applied to first course for military/spouses, police, firefighters, paramedics/EMTs, and nurses. Referral program available.
