01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Ripple Creek Lodge operates in the heart of Colorado's White River National Forest and Flat Tops Wilderness Area, offering a full backcountry experience centered on elk and mule deer hunting, fly fishing, and horseback adventures.
New for 2024, the Louisiana Purchase (LP) Ranch brings 3,000+ acres of premium private hunting land to Ripple Creek's portfolio. They book guided archery and rifle hunts for elk and mule deer across this exclusive property deep in the Flattops.
Private land hunts give you more control and less competition than public land. Guided horseback hunts combine the hunt with backcountry access—you're riding into remote country where wildlife and wildflowers cover the mountain meadows.
The White River runs through their territory. They offer fly fishing trips and publish regular fishing reports and water condition updates so you know what's happening before you arrive.
Their riding season runs June 15 through September 1. The signature trip is The Flat Tops 40—a 4-day, 3-night backcountry loop covering 40 miles through Colorado's high country. You're riding, fishing, camping, and exploring in one package.
Seven historic log cabins dating to the 1930s sit on the lodge property. Each sleeps 2 guests:
| Cabin | Price/Night |
|---|---|
| Black Bear, Blue Grouse, Wapiti, Rock Chuck, Moose | $209 |
| Brook Trout, Cutthroat | $249 |
These aren't luxury resorts—they're rustic, authentic, and built to fit the mountain experience.
Book cabins directly through their website or call 970-878-4725. The lodge is at 39020 County Road 8, Meeker, CO 81641.
Ripple Creek operates year-round under special use permit from the USDA Forest Service, White River National Forest. Big game hunts align with Colorado's rifle and archery seasons. Horseback rides run summer through early fall. They publish weather and snow reports on their site to help you plan.
