Sierra Marksmanship and Defense

Sierra Marksmanship and Defense is run by veterans of Special Operations Forces and CIA Security Contractor work. The lead precision rifle instructor is a graduate of both the U.S. Army Sniper Course and Special Forces Sniper Course (SOTIC/SFSC Level 1). They bring hands-on experience from austere environments around the world into every class.

• •Private Training - One-on-one instruction customized to your background, experience level, and specific goals. You get video comparison throughout your progression and focused coaching on your needs.

• •Pistol Courses - From first-time gun owners to seasoned law enforcement. Training emphasizes speed, accuracy, and control whether you're prepping for competition or defensive readiness.

• •Carbine Courses - Hunting, competition, home defense, or high-risk career preparation. Classes teach you to beat the timer or win the fight.

• •Precision Rifle/Long Range - Instruction covers rifle and optics selection, zero procedures, data logging (DOPE), range estimation, wind reading, and shooting out to 1,760+ yards. Spring and summer group classes feature steel targets and ranges out to 2,000 yards.

Classes are held at Great Guns Sporting in Nunn, Colorado (long range classes vary by course). Group classes available in spring and summer. Private lessons are year-round by appointment.

• •Physical Requirements: Defensive/tactical group classes require moderate fitness (running, prone transitions, carrying 35 lbs, holding rifle or pistol for extended periods). Intro/basic courses are less demanding. Private lessons are tailored to your ability, and the team accommodates disabilities or medical conditions when training can be conducted safely.

• •Must be 18+ for long guns, 21+ for pistol
• •Valid U.S. Person, legally allowed to possess firearms
• •All required gear is mandatory
• •No refunds once training begins
• •Students removed for safety violations or disrespectful behavior receive no refund
