Arvada Rifle & Pistol Club

Arvada Rifle & Pistol Club operates as a members-only facility in unincorporated Jefferson County near Golden. Members get round-the-clock access to the ranges every day of the year—no time-based restrictions.

The facility houses multiple range configurations:

• •50-foot pistol ranges for handgun work
• •25-meter ranges for pistol and rifle
• •Five dedicated air pistol/rifle ranges for silhouette, benchrest, and precision work

Range types remain open unless reserved for scheduled organized activities, which the club posts on their calendar.

ARPC was founded in 1948 and operated in Old Town Arvada for decades before relocating to its current much larger facility in 2013. Club members have competed at local, state, national, and international levels. Junior shooters and para-athletes regularly train at the Olympic Training Center through connections built by the club.

The club hosts standing competition leagues and programs:

• •Bullseye League (Thursdays 4-7 PM) – NRA-sanctioned slow, timed, and rapid fire with .22 and centerfire National Match courses
• •IDPA – International Defensive Pistol Association matches
• •USPSA – United States Practical Shooting Association competitions
• •Women's Pistol – dedicated program
• •Rimfire Benchrest – precision .22 shooting
• •Air Pistol Silhouette League
• •Air Rifle Silhouette
• •Air Rifle Benchrest
• •Bowling Pin – knockdown competition
• •Junior Rifle Program – youth instruction and competition (held Tuesday evenings)

All memberships require a one-time $300 initiation fee. Family memberships cover two people 18+ at the same address. Dependent children under 26 can use ranges free when accompanied by a member parent. Children 18-26 can use ranges independently after passing a safety course.

Three steps to join:

1. Complete application and pay invoice 2. Pass background check (run on all applicants; each adult for family/corporate memberships) 3. Complete safety orientation class – 4 hours of Range Safety Officer instruction plus live shooting (each adult in group memberships must complete)

Classes run monthly on Saturday afternoons, 11 AM to 3 PM. You bring your own firearm, ammunition, and eye/ear protection.

• •Pistols: Up to .44 Magnum caliber maximum
• •Rifles: .22 caliber only

These restrictions apply across all ranges. Check the calendar for any range closures due to organized activities.

• •General membership meetings held quarterly on the second Thursday of January, April, July, and October at 7:30 PM at the facility.
• •Annual meeting and elections – second Thursday of July.

• •Firearms Maintenance Classes are offered periodically, covering:
• •Brush types (nylon, brass, stainless)
• •Solvent selection and application
• •Proper lubrication techniques
• •Ceramic coatings

Guests are welcome but must be accompanied by a member at all times. Guest fee is $10 per visit. Guests complete a waiver and acknowledge range rules at entry—forms available at front and rear doors or downloadable online.
