Full description and what we offer
Mad Pig Customs specializes in turning standard lever action rifles into precision shooting tools through their "Thumper" conversion packages. Based in Wallingford, Connecticut, they work on Marlin and Henry platforms, plus Smith and Wesson 1854 and Rossi R95 rifles.
Their signature service transforms lever actions with upgraded internals and quality aftermarket parts. Here's how it works:
1. Source your base rifle (Marlin 1895/336/1894 series, Henry All Weather or X Series, or compatible platform) 2. Download and complete the order form from their website 3. Email the form to [email protected] with your FFL request 4. Ship your rifle to their Wallingford facility 5. Pay 60% deposit upon receipt confirmation 6. Your rifle ships back; pay remaining 40% balance
Typical turnaround: 1-2 weeks after deposit.
Mad Pig sources components from established names in the lever action community:
Custom Cerakote finishes start at $400, including camo pattern options. They handle coating as a standalone service or as part of complete builds.
Beyond the base package, customers can add: - Barrel band to handguard conversions ($85) - Oversized or knuckle duster levers ($139-159) - Adjustable stocks and laminate options ($165-430) - Extended rail systems and accessory mounts - Mad Pig Ammo Wallet in Multicam or Black Multicam ($40)
"Mad Pig family, #tinyhandsgang" - their tagline says it all about community-focused builds
