Lone Pine Hunter's Club

Lone Pine Hunters Club started in 1913 when fox hunters meeting at a large lone pine tree on Long Hill decided to formalize their gathering. From a seven-member group in a small shack at 142 Tolles Street in Nashua, the club has grown into New Hampshire's oldest continuously operating sportsmen's club.

In 1965, the club relocated to its current location in Hollis on 118 acres along the Nashua River Watershed at 67 Lone Pine Lane (formerly 114 Rideout Road). The property offers scenic, peaceful grounds with direct river access and a private boat dock.

The main clubhouse was built in 1998 entirely by club members. The structure spans 40×80 feet with 6,400 square feet of space, including:

• •Commercially equipped kitchen
• •Full climate control (heat and air conditioning)

On-Site Shooting & Archery: - Bryan Fox Shooting Range - 100-yard indoor range - 3D archery course (outdoor, Tuesdays at 4:00 PM) - Practice range for archery

Lone Pine runs two major raffles annually—spring and fall. The Fall 2025 raffle features 30 firearms drawing over 30 consecutive days in November, with 1,500 tickets sold. Winners can choose cash instead of the gun. Past raffle prizes include Ruger pistols and rifles, Smith & Wesson M&P series, CZ shotguns, Henry lever-action rifles, Savage bolt-actions, and specialty items like silencers (with NFA tax stamp responsibility). Winners pick up firearms at Old Glory Guns & Ammo in Greenville, NH, with all FFL regulations followed.

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the clubhouse. Lone Pine Cafe serves hot meals before each meeting—a complete entrée, salads, breads, desserts, and drink for $12.00.

Each meeting includes: - Minutes from previous meeting - Treasurer's report - Old and new business - Introduction of new members and guests - Multiple raffles and drawings - Membership Attendance Drawing (members only, must be present) - Monthly speaker, demonstration, or presentation

Membership requires: 1. Completed application (regular or junior) 2. Conceal Carry Pistol Permit copy from local police (or NH background check—at member's cost, original only) 3. Sponsorship from existing member 4. Attendance at a monthly membership meeting 5. Annual dues + $50 application fee 6. 2-month approval process (first month: submit; second month: vote)

• •Junior memberships are available for ages 5 to 17. If no sponsor is available, attend a meeting 1 hour early and meet members—someone typically steps forward to sponsor.

Once accepted, members start as Non-Vested (all rights except voting) before advancing to Vested status.

The club is managed by a six-person Executive Board and five-person Board of Directors elected from active membership. Special committees coordinate events like archery tournaments, fishing derbies, and winter carnivals.
