The New Haven Raccoon Club has been serving Connecticut sportsmen since 1907, operating on 80 acres in the historic town of Durham. The club brings together roughly 300 hunters, archers, shooters, and outdoor enthusiasts—men, women, and families—for competitive events, skills practice, and camaraderie.
Shooting & Archery Facilities: - 100-yard rifle range - Professional trap shooting facility (open to public Sundays 9am-1pm, Wednesdays 6pm-9pm) - State-of-the-art archery range with variable distance shooting - 3D archery course with raised treestand platform (30 targets spread across property)
Other Resources: - Stocked trout pond with seasonal fishing - Stocked pheasant hunts (seasonal) - Family picnic and camping areas
The club hosts events open to the public throughout the year:

"To afford the opportunity for the expression of good fellowship among hunters, and associated men, women, and their families, and to preserve and enjoy the rights of hunting, fishing, and shooting sports."
The club also conducts programs relating to fish and wildlife, and welcomes scouts, students, and scholars of all ages to the property for educational fieldtrips.
