Based in Kearney, Nebraska, the Buffalo County 4-H Shooting Sports Club operates at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds and serves as a premier training facility for young shooters. However, this organization also coordinates competitions and events across multiple states, including notable participation in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania through affiliated competitions like the Bishop Carroll High School BB Gun League.
The club offers instruction and competition in six distinct shooting sports disciplines:

- •Air Pistol - 40 standing format
- •Shotgun - Shotgun sports training
- •Rimfire Rifle - .22 caliber rifle instruction
- •Rimfire Pistol - .22 caliber pistol training
The club is staffed by certified instructors who provide comprehensive training in firearm safety and competitive marksmanship techniques. The organization maintains affiliation with two major governing bodies:
- •Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) - A national organization promoting marksmanship excellence
- •National Rifle Association (NRA) - Providing safety standards and certification
Members participate in numerous regional and national competitions throughout the year, including postal matches, invitational tournaments, and league competitions. The club hosts several annual events such as the BCSS 4-H Air Pistol Invite, BCSS 4-H Precision Invite, and BCSS 4-H Sporter 3P Invite, typically held in February.
