Full description and what we offer
Bayou Advanced Weapon Systems, LLC builds bespoke weapons engineered for extreme performance. Their motto says it all: "Building Relationships & Rifles That Last a Lifetime." Founded in Georgia in 1996, the company has evolved through Tennessee and Alabama locations before settling in Natchitoches, Louisiana in 2017 under new ownership.
They don't just sell rifles—they engineer them to your exact specifications. With 147+ years of combined gunsmithing expertise, their team works intimately through every build cycle. The CEO herself is a master load development specialist and range validation expert. This is a U.S. Veteran-Owned and Woman-Owned company that sources American suppliers first.
"Whatever you can dream, we can bring to reality."
M24A2-A375 & M24A3-A41 Series are their flagship builds: ultra-lightweight mountain hunting rifles (6.4–7.75 lbs) with barrels over 27" but handling like 18–20" rifles. They feature folding stocks in traditional and carbon fiber/magnesium/aluminum chassis options.
Adaptive Modular Tactical Weapons Platforms (AMTWP) use the same DNA as signature series rifles but run 45–60% lighter thanks to carbon fiber barrels, stocks, and aluminum chassis. Titanium components (action, bolt, muzzle brake) ensure extreme reliability.
Their proprietary accurizing process includes:
Typical cost: $500–$750 for most standard production rifles with 7–10 day turnaround.
They get average factory rifles to consistently shoot sub-MOA. They process several hundred rifles yearly across all makes and models.
Primary barrels: Bartlein, with alternatives including PacNor, Benchmark, Brux, Douglas, Proof Research, Shilen, Hart, and Lothar Walther.
Actions used: Weatherby, Winchester, Remington, Savage, Savage Target, SURGEON, STILLER, Impact Precision, Defiance, Lone Peak, Pierce, and GMA.
All barrels and actions are cryogenically treated, match-grade, with custom target crowns. Machined shoulders and oversized recoil lugs are rejected in favor of precision barrel nuts (BUGNET, REMAGE) that lock at 35–77 ft-lbs with zero receiver stress.
Hyper-Velocity Mid-Bore Rifles: - 300 RUM, 338 RUM, 338 EDGE, 338 Lapua, 30-378, 338-378 - Their 338-340 wildcat runs 250 fps faster than 338 Lapua Magnum - Also: 300 Norma, 338 Norma, 300/338 Lapua Long, 375, 416
Big Bore Dangerous Game Rifles (416–750 Calibers): - 416, 450 Rigby, 458 (common cartridges with performance-edge chamber/throat designs) - Custom-designed 600 O.K. with 30-second barrel swap technology (no stock removal needed) - 600 O.K.-Express, 700, 750 NITRO Express available - Absolute authority on big bore bolt guns from 416 up to 700 calibers
Extreme Long Range (ELR/ULR): - 416 Barrett, 460-50 calibers, .510 (50 BMG) - Extensive R&D for wildcat cartridges limited only by your imagination and budget
They design and produce custom ammunition, including proprietary wildcat cartridge reloading supplies.
Brands: XLR, Masterpiece, CADEX, MDT, Manners, McMillian
Configurations: Fixed or side-folder stocks, thumbhole or standard, tactical performance chassis with Dropbox magazines (DBMs), exotic woods, laminates, composites. Custom fit and inlet work available for any action/barrel combo.
They use 8-40 base screws on steel Picatinny rails with pinned bases to eliminate recoil movement. Preferred brands: Nightforce (NF), Seeking Precision, Hard Core Gear, Murphy Precision, Leupold.
All bases are either 3-screw front/2-screw rear or 3-screw with pinned precision-ground recoil lugs. Receivers also get pinned Picatinny rails for 100% rock-solid mounting.
One or two-stage triggers in any brand at any weight pull, hand-tuned to a glass-rod feel.
Every rifle is range-validated in excess of 1,500 yards before delivery. They claim "bug-hole" accuracy and make zero excuses: "We will not promise, we will prove it and earn your respect."
