Calibers Indoor Gun Range

Calibers Indoor Gun Range runs CCH classes in Greensboro and Wilmington, NC with a structure that separates it from the quick-certification crowd. You don't walk in, sit through a video, and leave with a card. You shoot first.

Before class day, participants fire 30 rounds at a B-27 full-size silhouette target from 7 yards maximum distance. You need 21 rounds in the 7 ring or better to qualify. This can't be done on class day—you complete it during normal range hours, even right after signing up. The point: they're making sure you can actually hit something before you get your certificate.

Morning (9am - 12pm): - Two hour-long videos on handgun safety, parts, cycle of operation, and shooting fundamentals - Second video covers situational awareness and home defense planning

Lunch break (12pm - 1pm)

Afternoon (1pm - 6pm): - Lecture portion reviews video material with Q&A - Scenarios and presentation of real-world situations - Laws governing deadly force and use of force justification - Practical advice: practice routines, concealment options, holster selection, firearm care - Coverage of where carry is not permitted and traffic stop protocols

Course registrants receive complimentary 3-month membership. Beyond that, Calibers offers:

All registrations happen in person at either location. Bring a valid driver's license and payment. New shooters watch a 10-minute range safety video. Firearms stay home until you're done with the course—bring your manual and a pen.
