10X Gunsmithing

10X Gunsmithing operates out of Vero Beach with a simple focus: make guns that work and fix guns that don't. Bill Jenkins started collecting military automatics in 1984 and formalized the gunsmithing operation in 2000. What began as a small shop has expanded multiple times—most recently nearly doubling in size.

• •Custom Builds: Hand-built 1911s, F-Class competition rifles, SDMRs (Squad Designated Marksmanship Rifles), and specialty pistols. Their YOLO Officer model (3-1/8" barrel, stainless receiver, blued slide) is limited to 50 units.
• •Gunsmithing Repairs: Traditional firearm repairs with full shop capabilities.
• •Finishing Work: Cerakote coating, IonBond treatments, engraving.
• •Sales & Transfers: FFL licensed for firearms sales and transfers.
• •Indoor Range: Climate-controlled range (important in Florida heat).

600-yard precision: Their custom 308 F-Class rifle shoots 1/4 MOA groups. Their custom 223 SDMR does the same at 600 yards—that's match-grade accuracy.

They've won competitions (3rd place at Camp Perry's John M. Garand Match in 2004), published a book on US Military Match Automatics, and clients regularly credit them with transforming their shooting. One customer went from never shooting to hitting targets at 600 yards on day one.

Stock varies but includes both budget options (Bulgarian Makarov, $250) and quality builds (Oriskany Traditional 1911, $795). They handle hard-to-find items—clients have had them source FN SCARS when no one else could locate them.
