Johnny Custom Glocks doesn't mass-produce triggers. Each system is individually crafted, calibrated, and configured to your exact specifications. Founded by John Schmitt—a Glock-certified advanced armorer with over two decades of hands-on experience—the operation focuses on what factory Glock triggers do wrong and fixes it methodically.
Factory Glock triggers are notorious: sloppy action, overly resistive break, lengthy reset. In 2008, Johnny questioned whether he could refine those shortcomings while maintaining reliability, predictability, and safety. The answer was yes.
He interviewed elite special operators, competitive shooters, police and law enforcement, instructors, range officers, and everyday shooters. He gathered a real-world wish list, then began development. Months later, the Johnny Boss Trigger Kit emerged. Fifty test units were sent out with non-disclosure agreements and scoring criteria. All testers scored above 96% and still use their Johnny Boss as their primary trigger system.
Hand-work on every engagement surface. All lead, corresponding edges, and outcrops are detailed, honed, and polished using proprietary methods that refine well into the 30,000-grit arena. This isn't tumbling—it's meticulous hand finishing.

Baptized John Schmitt, Johnny has been disassembling, enhancing, and reassembling firearms since childhood as a farm boy in Pennsylvania's Laurel Mountains. He inherited his first Glock in the mid-90s and has been hooked ever since.
After years of Glocksmithing and helping friends fine-tune defensive Glocks, he decided to make a living from his expertise. His focus started in defensive and tactical shooting, translating seamlessly into competitive sport shooting.
Johnny lives in Sarasota, Florida with his wife and three children. He believes in uncompromising work ethic and quality workmanship above all else.
