Own Black Sheep Waterfowl?
01 // DETAILS
Full description and what we offer
Black Sheep Waterfowl operates across four allocated zones covering 7.2 million acres of prime waterfowl habitat in central Saskatchewan, Canada. Owner and operator Chris Kirby came out of waterfowl guiding retirement to start the company after nearly two decades of guiding on both land and water. His experience includes running Florida Duck Guides in the panhandle and currently operating offshore and inshore fishing charters in Destin when not in Canada.
Private groups require a minimum of 6 hunters. Hunters can bring their own gun dogs if booking privately.

The province is known as the "Land of the Living Skies" for good reason. The prairie pothole region provides: - Abundant shallow wetlands ideal for breeding and nesting waterfowl - Nutrient-rich waters supporting aquatic plants (food for nesting birds) - Protection from predators in pothole habitats - Millions of waterfowl migrating through annually
Black Sheep Waterfowl monitors environmental conditions year-round, tracking snow melt, habitat moisture, and breeding pair numbers to ensure prime conditions for fall hunts.
The operation emphasizes hunter responsibility in preserving Saskatchewan's wetlands. Bag limits, ethical practices, and supporting habitat restoration projects ensure waterfowl populations remain healthy for future generations. Black Sheep Waterfowl is a full-time, licensed outfitter listed on the Saskatchewan Commission of Professional Outfitters (SCPO) website.
