Coast Runner Outfitters started in 2021 when Captain Donny and his wife Stephanie followed Donny's passion for waterfowl hunting. Both grew up in northwest Ohio and moved to the Wakulla area in 2008. Since then, Captain Donny has spent nearly two decades understanding the local waters, fish habitats, and wildlife patterns—completing his 43 waterfowl slam in 2022 and traveling internationally to pursue his hunting passion.
All Captain-led hunts are conducted by USCG-licensed guides with years of experience on Florida's coastal and freshwater systems.
Morning hunts: 6:00-10:00 AM | Afternoon hunts: 2:30 PM-Sunset Price: $250 per person | Deposit: $250 full day / $125 half day (non-refundable)
Hunt Redheads, Buffleheads, Lesser Bluebills, Greater Bluebills, Goldeneye, Canvasback, Wood Ducks, Pintails, Ringneck Ducks, and Red-breasted Merganser. Early season (first 4-5 weeks) uses boat and shore blinds—easier for children and mobility-impaired hunters. Later season shifts to layout boats and concealment methods as birds become wary.

Groups of 4+ get a dedicated guide. Smaller groups may be combined. Wader requirements strictly enforced—notify at booking if accommodations needed.

Hunts conducted on public land or scouted non-quota areas. Captain Donny handles scouting, calling, decoy setup, and blind building. Many locations accessed by boat.

Price: $600 for groups of 2 or under | Additional $100 per person (max 6 people) Duration: 4 hours (AM or PM)
Target gar, bowfin, carp, mullet, sheepshead, drum, and flounder (in season) on coastal and spring-fed rivers.
Included: All bowfishing gear, cooler with ice Not included: Georgia fishing license (if needed), food/drinks, fish cleaning (can arrange), taxidermy services (available for additional cost)
Wakulla County base near St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. Access to: - St. Marks Lighthouse (1831 landmark at St. Marks River mouth) - Alligator Point (Franklin County, Bald Point State Park) - Apalachicola (downtown shops, fresh oysters, blue crab) - St. George Island (pristine beaches across from Apalachicola) - Barrier Islands: St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge, Cape St. George Island, Dog Island
