Full description and what we offer
Castle Keep Guns specializes in processing Federal Firearm License (FFL) transfers from other dealers. If you've found a firearm online or at another shop, they handle the receiving, paperwork, and background checks so you can complete the purchase.
| Service | Cost |
|---|---|
| First firearm | $30 (includes $5 FDLE check) |
| Each additional firearm | $25 |
You provide Castle Keep Guns with the seller's contact info, they send their FFL, and when the firearm arrives, they call you to pick it up. The process is handled in-store: you fill out Form 4473, they run your background check through FDLE online, and once approved (and the mandatory 3-day wait is satisfied), you leave with your firearm.
Florida residents: Handgun transfers require a current Florida address. Non-residents can transfer rifles and shotguns as long as the firearm is legal in their state—you're responsible for knowing your state's laws.
Castle Keep Guns also purchases and trades used firearms. Bring your gun in for evaluation. They run the serial number through the FDLE stolen gun database and use LeadsOnline to document the transaction. Payment can be cash, check, or store credit depending on your situation.
Trade-ins skip the 3-day wait—Florida law exempts firearm trades from the mandatory waiting period, so if you're trading in a gun, you can walk out the same day after background check approval.
Bring a current government-issued ID with a current address. If your ID is outdated, bring state-issued proof of address (tax bill, voter registration, car registration). Utility bills and personal letters don't qualify.
Active military with out-of-state ID: Bring PCS orders and a lease agreement (or Florida tax bill if you own property) to transfer handguns. Rifles and shotguns don't require residency.
Alien residents: Bring your alien registration card. Background checks may take a few hours to a few days since FDLE checks multiple databases. Consider coming in advance to start the process.
Cash is preferred. They accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover—not American Express.
