Raptor Airsoft Field & Shop operates on 160 acres of private property near DeLand, Florida. The playable field spans 60 acres with 7 separate airsoft zones, each 10-15 acres wide. Terrain varies wildly: sandy areas, heavily wooded sections, tight-quarters combat zones, bus-to-bus scenarios, bunkers, and multiple layers of coverage. Their field marshals choose from 20+ different game scenarios, ensuring variety across 6-10 games per day.

Juan, David, and Alcira—father, daughter, and son-in-law—started this business out of necessity after the 2009 economic crisis. They're unashamedly Christian and built Raptor specifically as a family-friendly alternative to home gaming and screen time. They emphasize parental involvement: parents can play alongside kids on massive fields where you don't need to sprint to survive—walking and hiding strategies work just fine.

Walk-ups only—no reservations needed. Players show up alone or with friends. The field marshals automatically divide 30-50 daily walk-ups into balanced teams. First game kicks at 10am. Games run 15-45 minutes with 15-minute breaks in between. All-day play is included (not half-day).

Arrive early to get the full experience. Show up at 10am and you'll play 6-10 games. Late arrivals watch a mandatory safety video and get fewer rounds.

Airsoft uses biodegradable plastic BBs instead of paint—costs about half as much, produces zero mess, and the BBs travel much farther than paintballs. This lets Raptor operate on massive 10-15 acre fields instead of cramped paintball courses.

Airsoft guns replicate real firearms: sniper rifles, M4s, pistols, shotguns. They run on battery, air tank, CO2, or green gas. Players can run pistol-and-shield tactics at close range or hide at extreme distance with sniper guns. Outfits range from jeans-and-t-shirt to military gear to novelty costumes—it doesn't matter.

The sport rewards strategy over athleticism. You don't need to be fast. You need to: - Pay attention to briefings - Learn each game's objectives - Communicate with your team - Shoot straight - Hide effectively

All ages 7-90 can dominate if they pick a playstyle suited to their strengths.
