Red Dirt Firearms opened in 2023 when the owner—an active-duty Navy sailor—decided to turn decades of firearms passion into a career. He's been around guns since childhood, starting with cap guns and moving up to his first Ruger 10/22 at age 10. That rifle stayed a passion, and now it's the foundation of his gunsmithing business.
Gunsmithing Services - Cleaning, repairs, and part replacement - Upgrades and modifications - Test firing ($50/hour plus parts)
Cerakote Finishing - Single color: starting at $150 - Multi-color (2+ colors): $200 for 2 colors, $35 per additional color - Multi-layer designs (stripes, camo, multicam, geometric): starting at $350 (includes 4 colors) - Disassembly/reassembly adds $100 to multi-layer jobs
Stippling - 360° grip stippling: $50/hour - Thumb rest, trigger guard, and intricate detail work: $50/hour
Additional Services - Cold blue finishing on steel/revolver parts: $100/hour - Ammunition sales - FFL transfers: $30 (includes background check) - Licensed FFL—ship guns directly to them for work
Military and Law Enforcement: 15% discount on purchases with valid ID
No on-hand inventory yet—they operate on custom order and quote basis. Fill out the quote form on their website or email for estimates. They're a licensed FFL, so controlled parts (serialized components) must be shipped back to an FFL. Customers cover shipping costs.
