Full description and what we offer

With over 20 years of hunting experience, South Florida Fishing and Hunting Outfitters operates out of Okeechobee, Florida—right on Lake Okeechobee's 750 square miles of shallow waters and lush aquatic vegetation. They run fully guided hunts for both novice and seasoned hunters, providing comprehensive service from start to finish.

Duck hunting is their bread and butter. The area attracts migratory waterfowl including Blue Winged Teal, Mottled Ducks, Ring-Neck, and Ruddy Ducks. Our guides handle decoy setup, duck calling, retrieving downed birds, and identifying species. Each boat accommodates a maximum of 3 hunters, ensuring personalized attention and better success rates.

Duck Season Dates (2023-2024): - Early Teal: September 16–20, September 21–24 - Regular Season: November 18–26, December 9–January 28

  • Daily Bag Limit: 6 ducks (with restrictions on mallards and scaup)

Mottled Ducks are the most common species in Florida—an estimated 30,000–40,000 live year-round in the state. Lake Okeechobee's shallow waters and aquatic plants make it ideal habitat.

Their custom hunting airboat accesses areas other guides can't reach. This isn't a standard pontoon—it's purpose-built for the terrain and gives you a genuine advantage. They limit to 3 hunters per boat, not cramming 6–8 people into an overcrowded charter.

They also offer: - Wild Hog Hunts – Challenging and rewarding - Deer Hunting – Florida whitetail (trophy bucks and does) - Turkey Hunting – Osceola Turkey (Florida wild turkey) with high success rates - Invasive Species Control – Iguana, Python, and Alligator hunts - Combo Trips – Cast & Blast combinations (hunt iguanas, catch Peacock Bass, Clown Knife Fish, or Largemouth in the same waters)

If you want to mix hunting and fishing, they run offshore, inshore, bowfishing, and bass fishing charters. Popular targets include Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, and deep-sea species.
