Full description and what we offer
Savannah Powder Coat started in 1999 when retired Army helicopter pilot Harry Normington decided to turn his passion for precision finishing into a business. The operation moved from startup to regional powerhouse by doing one thing well: applying durable, flawless coatings that last.
Today, President Justin Buckner (Normington's son-in-law) runs the shop with his wife Kristen as Vice President. Justin is almost always on-site, actively working projects. That accessibility matters—you're not dealing with a faceless shop, you're dealing with someone who cares about the work coming out the door.
Powder Coating is the core service. It's the application of organic powder by electrostatic attraction to metal, then cured by heat to create a smooth, hard, durable finish. Hundreds of thousands of parts have come through here.
Cerakote finishes for firearms—if you want your AR, pistol, or custom gun finished in a specific color or texture, they handle it.
Sandblasting/Bead Blasting preps surfaces by forcing solid particles across the metal at high speeds. This removes contaminants, rust, and old finishes so new powder coating adheres properly and looks clean.
Hydro Dipping for decorative patterns and effects.
Complete Wheel Services—wheels are one of their signature specialties.
Not just firearms. The portfolio includes:

This isn't a chain or an outsourced operation. The owner is there. The work is done by people Buckner calls "the hardest workers around." They've coated hundreds of thousands of parts and work with regional companies as regular clients. If you're looking for Cerakote on a custom firearm or powder coating on anything else, there's experience in the building.
