Columbus Concealed Carry trains shooters the way they should be trained—with instructors who actually know what they're doing. The team includes Keith (former Columbus police officer), Chris M. All are NRA Certified with over a century of combined firearms instruction and law enforcement/military experience.
"People have the right to protect themselves. Legal concealed carry can be a means for this, and getting the proper training is critical before you begin to carry."
Most classes run one full day in Sunbury, starting indoors then carpooling to the range. They break every hour and provide time for lunch. Winter classes include propane heaters on the private range land.

Why so cheap? The instructors have day jobs. They run classes so people can get proper training and carry legally—not to make money. You get the same or better instruction, materials, and attention as expensive classes, and most students come through referrals.
They limit enrollment so every student gets adequate attention from the instructor. No packed classrooms with 50 people—you actually get instructed.
Ohio law requires an 8-hour pistol course taught by a certified instructor. Columbus Concealed Carry meets this requirement. You'll receive a certificate to take to your local sheriff's office—they issue the actual license.
Renewals don't require re-certification in Ohio. Just take your current license to the Sheriff's office. If your license lapsed or you want additional training, they offer classes and private instruction.
Physical disability? Contact an instructor before signing up to discuss what accommodations can be made.
Any real handgun works for Basic Pistol, though they suggest trying at least a .38 Special or 9mm. The instructor brings firearms for you to test. Yes, you can use a .22 LR, but aim higher if possible.
You'll pre-pay online with credit/debit card (no PayPal or Square account required). Instructors return voicemails ASAP.
They follow current Ohio law. If legislation changes before your class date, training automatically adjusts to meet new requirements—no extra cost.
Classes only cancel for weather emergencies or facility issues. Usually they work around problems or hold range time on a different day.
After you complete training, shoot at Spring Valley (southern Ohio) or Delaware Wildlife Area (central Ohio)—their favorite local public ranges. Contact them for directions.
Student resources pages include videos covering sight alignment, trigger squeeze, and other fundamentals. NRA membership signup available through their site at discounted rates.
