Location details and information
Atlanta Trap League is an open trap shooting league based at Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds in Atlanta, Georgia. Welcoming shooters of all skill levels—from complete beginners to accomplished trapshooters—the league offers a friendly, supportive environment focused on skill development and community.
Members shoot trap targets each Sunday (when TLSG is operational). The league squads shooters between 12:30–1:00 PM, with first clays thrown at 1:00 PM. Shooters can participate in Singles rounds and accumulate scores toward league standings and year-end awards. Members shooting at least 60% of the semester and meeting a minimum of 800 targets (32 rounds) qualify for end-of-season recognition.
Competitors are classified based on ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association) averages and known ability, ensuring fair competition across all skill levels. Shooters' lowest two scores are dropped from final average calculations.
The league emphasizes mentorship, with experienced members actively helping beginners develop proper technique. Squad assignments are flexible—the league can accommodate solo shooters or groups of friends wanting to shoot together. BIG 50 registered targets are incorporated every other week, allowing shooters to work toward ATA certification.
