Location details and information
A 30,000-square-foot combined archery and firearms facility near M.C. Anderson Park in Statesboro, operated by Georgia Southern's Campus Recreation & Intramurals department in partnership with the Georgia DNR's Wildlife Resources Division, the Easton Sports Development Foundation, and the Archery Trade Association. The center opened October 8, 2015, and serves Georgia Southern students, faculty, and staff along with the surrounding community. It sits within a school safety zone, so anyone outside a training program or competition needs a center membership to use it.
The Firearms Range has 16 lanes at 25 meters, offering beginner courses, private lessons, USCCA courses, and competitions. The Archery Center also has 16 lanes at 25 meters, with beginner and advanced courses, private lessons, certifications, and homeschool programs. The center hosts Georgia Southern's Shooting Sports Club, Southern Eagles Archery, Southern Clay Target Team, and University Rifle Team, plus community groups such as a Junior Rifle Club and area high school teams.
