Full description and what we offer

Located at 814 Honoapiilani Hwy in Lahaina, Maui Paintball is a field-only facility that's been hosting recreational and competitive paintball since at least 2017. They enforce strict field paint policies—no outside paintballs allowed—which keeps quality consistent across all games.

Every rental package includes: - Semi-automatic marker (upgradeable to electro-pneumatic vibe/envy for $5) - Protective mask - 200-round gravity-fed hopper - 48ci 3000psi HPA tank - 200-round ball hauler - Free chest protector for female players

Paintball PackagesPrice
140 rounds$10
500 rounds$35
1,000 rounds$45
2,000 rounds$79

Camo coveralls add $5 if you want extra protection in Maui's heat. The upgraded electro-pneumatic marker fires 11 balls per second and can cycle 2,000+ paintballs in a day if you're aggressive.

High-Quality Paintballs Matter: Maui Paintball uses brittle, food-grade paint that breaks on impact. Cheaper "soft" paintballs focus energy on one point and hurt more—that's why they're not allowed here.

Standard open play games last 5-20 minutes depending on player count and game type. Average players shoot 600-800 paintballs per session; defensive players use ~400, aggressive players burn 750-1000+.

Themed events include: - OPERATION: DARK ZONE (scenario game) - Glow Paintball (night games) - The Halloween Hunt 2025 - Zombie-themed games (participate as zombie or shoot them) - Industry tournaments (5-man, NXL 2v2, SBK 3-man shootout) - Hawaiian Legends events (500-1,000 person capacity)

Check their Facebook page for current event schedules and special hours.

Private games start at $100 for 15+ players minimum, booked 1 week in advance. Saturday/Sunday slots are 9am-11am with open play after (if guns available). Mon-Fri times are negotiable. Additional players pay $15 each—non-negotiable. Groups can reschedule up to 1 year out, with rescheduling fees ($50 with 3+ days notice, $100 with less).

Group discounts bring rates down to as low as $15 per person when booking parties—ideal for birthdays, corporate outings, and holiday events.

DayHours
Mon-Fri10am–5pm
Sat-Sun11am–5pm

Open 7 days/week for private groups and special holidays. Games run rain or shine.

Minimum age is 10 years old. Kids under 12 need a parent or guardian present on-site. Ages 12-17 can play with a signed participation agreement (parents can sign online, print/bring signed, or sign at the field). Parents can establish multi-date waivers valid up to 6 months to avoid signing every visit.

Safety Record: With just 0.45 injuries per 1,000 participants, paintball is safer than golf, bowling, basketball, and fishing.

Maui Paintball keeps things safe with mandatory orientation before play, approved goggles on at all times on field, chronographed markers under 280 FPS, and no blind firing. Physical contact, arguing, and unsportsmanlike conduct get you removed. All referees' calls are final. No alcohol or drugs allowed. Equipment is chronographed to prevent hot guns, and violators of field paint policies are ejected with no refund.

Wear loose, well-ventilated sports clothes—not hoodies or heavy pants in Maui's heat. Close-toed shoes are required (no flip-flops). The food-grade paint won't stain clothes, but grass and dirt will. Bring a camera at your own risk; rugged sport cameras or helmet cameras work best.

You don't need a group to play. Solo players join open games, form groups with other tacticians, or play as a lone wolf. It's described as "a wonderful way to make friends."

Beyond paintball, Maui Paintball offers laser tag experiences (reservation required).
