Amanda Rose built Athena Tactics after 16 years in the CIA, federal law enforcement, and military service. Her west Boise academy focuses exclusively on teaching women firearms skills in what she calls a "non-intimidating" environment.
Athena Tactics uses a three-step approach: simulator training first, then fundamentals, then live fire. Their signature programs include:

Eve Rose serves as Operations Manager and Director of Medical Training. She's a Nationally Registered Paramedic, USCCA Firearms Instructor, and teaches STOP THE BLEED certification.
The academy covers physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of self-defense. They teach situational awareness, trauma care, and what Amanda calls "tactical skills to respond with confidence."

Students don't need to bring anything. Athena Tactics provides firearms, hearing protection, eye protection, and all training materials. Their facility includes both simulator training areas and access to live-fire ranges.
