Castle Creek Outfitters operates guided hunts in Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest, right on the edge of the largest wilderness area in the lower 48. Based in Challis, they run tent camps deep in the Salmon River Mountains where DIY hunters can't reach.

Currently booking 2026 and 2027 seasons. Spring black bear reservations are open now.

They run traditional tent camps with horses and mules for access. No lodge - you're staying in heated tents in the backcountry with professional guides who know the terrain.

IOGLB License #20505 - They operate under Special Use Permit in the Salmon-Challis National Forest. This gives them legal access to hunt areas that aren't available to the general public.

Office hours Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, though they're often in the field during hunting seasons.
