Conceal Carry Plus delivers the complete state-mandated concealed carry instruction. Their flagship course runs 16 hours across two consecutive Saturdays (9am–5pm each day), covering:
The course includes both classroom instruction and supervised qualification shooting. Students must be 21+ with a valid Illinois FOID card.
You don't need to own a firearm. Pistol rentals and ammunition are available at standard range rates if you're still shopping.

The defensive pistol course is new for 2025 and emphasizes real-world application—the difference between picking up a gun at the range and safely drawing from concealment under pressure.
Your instructors aren't just trainers. Dave Phistry is an NRA Training Counselor known for teaching Second Amendment rights safely across all skill levels. Tom Yackley, an NRA Master Training Counselor, brings 50+ years in the shooting community. Sgt. Jake Mielnik brings 28 years of law enforcement and Marine Corps experience to firearms proficiency.
All courses are held at Mega Sports (16001 S Lincoln Hwy, Plainfield, IL 60586). The facility is handicap-accessible with a professional indoor range featuring glass barriers between lanes. Multiple food options are nearby for the scheduled lunch breaks during longer courses.

Courses begin promptly at scheduled times. Masks are optional; the facility maintains CDC compliance standards.
