Full description and what we offer
The Northern Illinois Rifle and Pistol Club started six decades ago and still operates the same way: as a not-for-profit run by Officers and a Board of Directors who actually show up.
NIRPC maintains limited membership. New members are added monthly as openings become available. This isn't a public range—it's a club.
Membership requires you to be an active member of either the National Rifle Association (NRA) or Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA). That's the gate. Download the application from their site, join one of those organizations, and you're eligible when a slot opens.
NIRPC operates shooting ranges including their Harrison Road facility (metal siding added for weather protection) and a South Range location currently in development. They're actively maintaining and upgrading infrastructure—recent work includes crushed asphalt parking and structural improvements.
"NIRPC is proud of its tradition of Community Service and Education"
1. Become an NRA or ISRA member 2. Download and complete the NIRPC membership application 3. Submit and wait for an opening (added monthly) 4. Get access to the ranges
The club runs regular board meetings, monthly member meetings, membership renewals, and competition events like IDPA qualifiers. Check their calendar for dates.
