Winchester Trap & Skeet Facility sits at Route 140 & Powder Mill Rd. in East Alton and opens to the public year-round. No club membership required to shoot—just show up during business hours.
The facility has five fields: - Two dedicated trap fields - Two dedicated skeet fields - One combination trap/skeet field - One combination skeet/sporting clays field - One combination skeet/doubles trap field - Wacky Wabbit field for different clay presentations - 3-bird and 3-stand options
All ammunition and targets are included in the per-round fee.

Winchester hosts regular ATA and ISTA events:
ATA Big 50 Doubles: 50-target events held Wednesdays, 10am–5pm. Entry fee $34 (ammo, targets, plus ATA/ISTA fees in cash). Dates run April through October.
Youth Shoots: 100 singles youth shoot held July 12. Entry $68 plus ATA/ISTA fees.

The Winchester Handgun Facility opens to shooters 16 and older and offers three distinct programs:
Industrial Centerfire League — Team competition May through August, separated by skill level. Open to area organizations, businesses, and law enforcement agencies.
Beginner Handgun Training — Two 2½-hour sessions covering basic shooting skills, firearm handling, cleaning, and home storage. Includes classroom and live fire instruction.
Youth Programs — Eight to eighteen-year-olds can enroll in Illinois Concealed Carry classes or the Summer Jr. Rifle program.
Handgun Range Rates: - Members: $5 first hour / $2.50 each additional hour - Non-Members: $15 first hour / $7.50 each additional hour - Range fee includes one target - Credit cards (Mastercard & Visa) now accepted

Membership is optional but pays for itself quickly if you shoot regularly:

The trap and skeet facility also sells hunting and fishing licenses on-site.
Minimum age is 10 years old for trap and skeet. The handgun facility requires shooters to be at least 16. Safety instruction is provided before your first time on either range. Bring eye and ear protection or purchase it there. All ammunition purchases happen at the facility.
Winchester emphasizes these core rules: - Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction - Keep firearms unloaded when not in use - Don't rely solely on mechanical safeties - Be absolutely certain of your target and what's beyond it - Use only correct ammunition for your firearm - Always wear eye and ear protection when shooting - Check barrel is clear of obstructions before loading - Don't alter or modify your firearm - Learn your specific gun's handling characteristics
Any shooter who observes unsafe handling has an obligation to insist on safer practices.
