Sherwood Paintball

Sherwood Paintball operates a dedicated 46-acre paintball and airsoft complex at 3497 North US HWY 35 in LaPorte, Indiana. The facility features five distinct field setups designed for different play styles:

• •Dreckmore / Dread Valley - Dense woodland scenario

• •Black Oak Keep / Battledale - Castle/fort-themed scenario
• •Speedball / Airball - Fast-paced competitive field

Sherwood provides all specialized paintball and airsoft gear you'll need to play. Bring comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty—that's it. The facility supplies markers, air fills (unlimited air included with event registration), hoppers, masks, and protective equipment.

Weekend Open Play runs most Saturdays and Sundays with rotating specials: - Valentine's Special (February) - Two for one admission - Daylight Savings Special - Half off admission - Black Friday & Cyber Monday - Half off admission - Christmas specials (December 16 - Buy one get one free; December 30 - $10 all-day play) - Mother's Day & Prom specials

Scenario Events are Sherwood's signature offerings. These multi-hour or full-weekend events feature storylines, factions, role-playing elements, and mission-based gameplay. Recent scenarios include:

• •Stargate: Retaliation - 24-hour full immersion game
• •Airsoft Events by Shadow Regime & Guru Games (2026 schedule)

From past Sherwood Classic events: - Early bird registration: $55 per player (by announced cutoff) - Pre-registration: $65 per player - Walk-on admission: $75 per player - Paint: $55-$65 per case (G.I. 3-Star, Valken Graffiti, Empire Marballizer) - All weekend air fills included with registration

Registrants are entered into drawings for Tippmann markers and gear.

The speedball/airball field serves tournament players and competitive teams. Scenario events draw nationally, with factions led by established tournament teams like SBD and Mutiny. Games run old-school scenario format with heavy emphasis on objectives, role-playing, and props—not just eliminations.

Sherwood regularly hires part-time Team Leaders for weekend and occasional weekday shifts. Requirements: - Must be 16+ years old - Dependable, fair, outgoing, strong attention to detail - Ability to work all weather conditions - Good communication and crowd control skills - Preferably familiar with paintball

Duties include explaining and supervising game play, protecting players from overshooting, supervising chronograph, operating fill stations, and basic equipment maintenance. Sherwood provides water, goggle, jersey, whistle, and equipment.
