Full description and what to expect
This will be our annual D-DAY Match. We hold this Match to pay tribute to our WWII Veterans.
This match will be held on the rifle range, rain or shine. We will be shooting 50-100 yd.
This match will consist of 30 rounds fired for score. Maximum score will be 300 points.
WEAPONS TYPE — Weapons must be WWII type original or reproduction in as issued configuration (no sporterised weapons please) and design prior to 1946. weapons can be any nationality.
Slings, Shooting Coats, Gloves are allowed.
Bi-Pods not allowed (exceptions made for some of the older shooters)
Spotting Scopes not allowed. Please feel free to dress in WWII era uniforms.
TARGETS — Targets will be steel knock down plates, pepper poppers and one SR- 1 paper target.
AMMO — Bring at least 30 rounds of ammo (no armor piercing ammo please) Bring clips, stripper clips, ammo pouch, belt, etc. (there will be some available to borrow)
AWARDS — There will be medals presented to the top 3 marksmen, also medal for high women shooter (must have at least 2 women shooters to be eligible) along with medal for high junior shooter.
Empty chamber indicators, eye & ear protection is required.
