Black Oak Clays

Black Oak Clays is a premier shotgun-only shooting club located on 240 acres of pristine Iowa rolling hills near Pella. This specialized facility caters to clay target sports enthusiasts of all skill levels.

Black Oak Clays offers a comprehensive range of clay target shooting sports:

Expert Instruction & Competition

The club is managed by Mike and Sharon Vande Noord. Mike is a Master Class Shooter certified by the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) and provides expert shooting instruction to members. Black Oak Clays regularly hosts competitive events, including the prestigious Iron Man 400 tournament, attracting shooters from across the region.

Youth Development

The facility serves as the home base for the Pella Shooting Team, part of the Iowa Scholastics Clay Target program. This team-based youth development program uses clay target sports to instill life skills in Iowa's young shooters.

As an Atlas trap machine dealer for Iowa, Black Oak Clays maintains a comprehensive fleet of shooting machines capable of setting up 10+ sporting clays stations, multiple 5 Stand configurations, and skeet fields. The club's diverse target presentations reflect the owner's passion for the sport.
