Yee-Lum Mak is a certified firearms instructor in Lawrence, Kansas, and her teaching philosophy is straightforward: safety and shooting skills are for everyone. She's particularly focused on welcoming Black, Indigenous, Asian and Pacific Islander, Latino, and Middle Eastern shooters—plus queer and trans folks—to the shooting sports.

• •Basic Handgun ($75, 2 hours)
• •Classroom instruction on safety, controls, and operation
• •Live range practice once you're ready
• •No experience needed; loaner guns available
• •Usually Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday evenings

• •Kansas Concealed Carry ($120, 8 hours)
• •Meets Kansas Attorney General standards for CCW licensing
• •Covers legal considerations and practical application
• •Requires handgun familiarity and ability to pass state shooting test
• •Offered roughly every 2–3 months (next session August 23, 2025)
