Glen Elder Wildlife Area Shooting Range is a public shooting facility integrated within the Glen Elder Wildlife Area, a 13,200-acre management area surrounding the 12,500-acre Glen Elder Reservoir located 13 miles west of Beloit, Kansas, on U.S. Highway 24.
The range serves both hunters and sport shooters with daylight-hours access. Visitors use the facility for:
The range operates as a self-service facility during daylight hours only. All hunters using the Glen Elder Wildlife Area are required to check in and out daily via the online system at ksoutdoors.com/checkin using your Kansas hunting license credentials. This applies to all range users.
As a public wildlife area facility, the range offers:
All ammunition casings, targets, and materials must be packed out—there are no trash receptacles on the Wildlife Area. During muddy conditions, users may need to walk in from gates. The facility operates within Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks regulations.
