Lone Pine started as a family farm adventure 43 years ago when Mike and Beth Hamman began hosting traditional upland bird hunts on their rural Woodson County property. Today, Josh and Katy DeHoux continue that tradition with the same farm-based, doors-open approach—treating guests the way stories about hunting should sound.
The preserve sits on hundreds of acres stretching across Southeast Kansas landscape: prairie, cropland, creek bottoms, sloughs, and timber. They can handle up to five hunting parties at once without crowding anyone.
All hunts run 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm. Pheasants, chukars, and mixed released birds available.
Standard shoot at $280/gun ($260 early bird) with 10 birds released per gun. Lunch included. 12 gauge, 2¾" shells maximum, 6 shot size.

All whitetail hunts are 5 full days. 50% deposit to book, balance due 30 days prior.
