Full description and what we offer
New Liberty Firearms serves Central Kentucky with a focus on custom AR builds and comprehensive gunsmithing. Their motto says it all: Fortes Fortuna Juvat (Fortune favors the bold). They're not just moving inventory—they want to make sure what you buy actually fits your needs.
The AR platform's flexibility means you can tailor a build for almost anything. Home defense rifle? Hog hunting setup? Designated marksman rifle to stretch distance? New Liberty geeks out over ARs and can build you exactly what you need—or a solid all-rounder if you're still figuring out your mission.
Their service menu is extensive:
AR Work: Full builds with headspace checks and optic boresighting ($140), uppers, lowers, barrel replacements, gas block tuning, and complete armorer renewals.
Pistol Work: Glock-style builds and armorer services, trigger replacements, complete teardowns with worn parts replacement.
General Services: Scope mounting and zeroing, sight replacement, muzzle crown repair, headspace checks, and general troubleshooting. Detail strip cleaning starts at an hourly rate with a minimum charge per gun.
They're constantly adding new gunsmithing services, so call to ask about work outside their standard menu.
Limited walk-in inventory, but they have distributor accounts with Palmetto State Armory, Primary Arms Optics, Aero Precision, and Century Arms. Most orders arrive in under a week. They often match online pricing without transfer fees on firearms. They also stock police trade-ins and surplus firearms—check their GunBroker auctions or visit the shop.
Selling or trading? They buy all makes and models, and will travel for large collections.
As an American Gunsmithing Institute Certified Firearms Appraiser, they provide written appraisals for insurance or estate purposes. In-person appraisals only—they'll come to you for large collections. Starting at $30 per firearm, or hourly rates for bigger jobs.
Local customers can have firearms shipped in for transfers at $40 per firearm ($35 for Kentucky CCDW holders). Appointments required; allow one business day after delivery for processing.
They're also a stocking dealer for Wilson Woods Blades—premium SES knives at $350 each, individually serialized with Kydex sheaths.
