Red Chute Shotgun Sports Club

Red Chute Shotgun Sports Club operates three clay shooting disciplines on base, each with its own schedule and tournaments:

• •Trap — Targets launched from a single house, generally away from the shooter. 10 sanctioned events throughout 2025.

• •Skeet — Two launch houses with intersecting flight paths. 8 major opens scheduled including the Barksdale Open (March 14-16) and the RCSSC Championship (September).

• •Sporting Clays — Complex 14-station, 100-bird course designed to replicate field hunting scenarios. 7 events in 2025, from Frosty Clays in February to the Dove Warm-Up in August.

Military and DoD cardholders are welcome. The club house is air conditioned and heated, with shaded seating for spectators. Shotgun rentals available for shooters who don't have their own.

Red Chute emphasizes teaching novice shooters fundamentals and safety. Club staff and members support youth programs and organizations with shooting instruction—hundreds of young shooters trained annually. Whether you're picking up a shotgun for the first time or training for competition, instruction is available.

The club's 18,000-acre east reservation on base serves as prime hunting and fishing ground in north Louisiana. Small game, waterfowl, and big game hunting all available. Many shooters use the clay ranges as warm-up practice before hunting season.
