The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office operates a Regional Training Academy and Rifle Range open to the general public. Located at 2100 Savanne Road in Houma, Louisiana, the range is managed under Sheriff Timothy Soignet's administration, which has prioritized training improvements and expanded facilities to serve the community.
Target stands are provided, but you must bring your own targets and staple gun. All brass must be picked up when finished, and stands must be returned to storage.

No charge for: - Active-duty military, Reserve, National Guard, or Veterans (proof required: ID card, DD214, or driver's license with Veteran status) - Active, Reserve, or Retired law enforcement (proof required: POST ID, Retirement ID, or Commission ID)

Sheriff Timothy Soignet brings extensive firearms training expertise to facility operations. During his 20+ years in the U.S. Marine Corps, he served as a Primary Marksmanship Instructor, Combat Marksmanship Instructor, and Chief Marksmanship Instructor at Parris Island, training thousands of Marine recruits. He commanded the Marksmanship Training Unit with over 200 personnel responsible for training 18,000 recruits annually and operating a multi-million-dollar facility.
After joining the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office in 2006, Soignet wrote the Patrol Rifle Curriculum now adopted by Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) and used statewide by all law enforcement agencies.
