Nick's Shooting Range & Gun Shop has been serving Louisiana's shooting community for nearly 50 years. This is a family-owned operation in Garyville that runs a full-service range facility plus retail shop under one roof.
The outdoor range has two distinct sections:
- •100-yard rifle range – 11 covered rifle benches
- •25-yard pistol & shotgun range – 11 covered shooting stations
Both areas have covered firing lines to keep you out of the sun and rain. The facility stops taking shooters one hour before closing each day.

The shop stocks a large selection of handguns and long guns. Current inventory includes:
Pistols: Glock 19 Gen 5, Glock 19X, Glock 43X, Glock 45, Glock 23 Gen 5 MOS (various calibers), Springfield Hellcat 9MM, Hellcat Pro Comp, Canik TTI Combat, Canik Rival 9MM, Sig Sauer P365 9MM, Taurus G2C, Diamondback 5.56

Nick's offers both general and women-only concealed carry certification courses. Classes run 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and cover:
- •Safe and responsible concealed carry
- •Self-defense fundamentals inside and outside the home
- •Legal responsibilities of gun ownership
- •State licensing requirements

Certified instructors offer private instruction for shooters of any skill level.
Full gunsmithing services available, including rifle sight-ins and custom work.
Classes focused on proper firearm handling and safe storage practices.
Nick's hosts National Pistol & Pistol Caliber (NPPC) matches:
- •Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM
- •Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM
- •Held during certain times of year
- •Entry fee: $15.00 per shooter
- •Divisions: Limited (iron sights), Open (optic sights/compensators), PCC (Pistol Caliber Carbine)
- •Classification system: Unclassified, C, B, A, and Master classes based on match averages
No experience necessary. Spectators welcome. The facility runs detailed stage courses (2025-1 through 2025-8 available) with mandatory reloads, distance challenges, and timed engagements. New shooters can start in either Unclassified or A class. Competitors must participate in a minimum of 18 matches to qualify for the Championship Match.
All safety rules enforced. Hearing and eye protection mandatory. Alcohol prohibited.
