Full description and what we offer
East Coast School of Safety has been teaching self-defense, firearm safety, and emergency first aid across Maine and New England since 2014. Andee and her team work with men, women, and children—building the skills and confidence people need to protect themselves when it matters.
Andee teaches women-only classes specifically because she understands the difference. Teaching as a woman instructor in a no-men environment is critical for survivors working through trauma and PTSD. The approach is non-stressful and completely judgment-free—removing barriers that might keep someone from walking through the door in the first place.
"Andee is knowledgeable, patient, and so kind as a teacher! Her drive to educate and empower not only women, but also children and men alike, is something we need more of." — Rebecca M.
Instead of outdated "Stranger Danger" tactics—which actually increase risk—the SAFE Kids course teaches boundary-setting, spotting red flags, and what to do when a "tricky grownup" breaks the rules. The stats matter: only 7% of child abusers are strangers. Kids learn to speak up, get help, and stay safe in real-world scenarios.
Andee also offers the USCCA's Children's Safety & Firearms course and private one-on-one instruction for kids.
Be your own first responder. When seconds count, police are minutes away. Training now means you're ready if trouble comes.
