Howe Brook Outfitters is a small, family-owned outfitter in Northern Maine specializing in guided hunts for both beginners and experienced hunters. Owner Nate Mooers is a Registered Maine Guide following his grandfather and father into the profession. Guide Stan Heath brings years of field experience, and in-house meat processor Jeremy Michaud handles everything from field to table with over 20 years of experience.
Maine has the highest black bear population in the lower 48 states—an estimated 35,000 bears. Howe Brook begins actively baiting sites 30 days before season opens, with guides working together throughout to ensure success.

Maine has the highest moose population in the lower 48 states—approximately 76,000 moose. Howe Brook operates in seven Wildlife Management Districts (WMDs 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 11, and 19), each hunt customized to your style: hiking and calling or covering ground on logging roads.

Maine's whitetail population is estimated at 360,000 deer. Firearm season runs early November through the month; muzzleloader season follows in early December.

Fully guided includes hands-on tracking and still hunting with your guide. Semi-guided gives you the setup and tools—you hunt independently.
