North Zone Outdoors combines guided hunting and fishing with professional taxidermy—all under one roof in Maine. Run by a registered Maine guide and licensed taxidermist, the operation focuses on preserving memories from the field, whether that's a trophy mount on your wall or a day spent chasing Maine's fish and game.

Hunting opportunities include: - Moose hunts - Black bear hunts - Whitetail hunts - Expanded archery island hunts

Fishing season runs May through September on Maine's rivers and lakes around Bangor. All trips include gear, equipment, snacks, and drinks.

Fishing is spin or fly, suitable for all skill levels. You'll fish from a 17-foot Polar Kraft open-concept boat.

Priority turnaround option: 90-day shoulder mounts available. Ask about pricing.

Standard turnaround is 12 months. Cape prep and tanning are handled in-house, which streamlines the process. NZO uses competition-quality eyes, nose replacements, and ear liners exclusively from Pro1 products for durability and lifelike results.

•Other taxidermy services: Large game (moose, bear) available with advance notice due to limited capacity. For 2025, the shop is not accepting skulls for European mounts or birds/fish.

Custom work and habitats are billed at $75/hour shop rate.
